STUDENT JOURNEY
The academic and vocational programs at the Avinya Academy are designed to empower, enable, and assist students in passionately pursuing a career, and not just getting a job.
We understand that after engaging in years of the traditional schooling system, students are not particularly passionate about more school! To this end, we designed the Empower Program. This program will enrich students with the 21st Century skills necessary to be a self-sufficient, holistic, and confident contributor to Sri Lankan and Global society.
After completing the Empower Program in the first year, students will be allocated to one of our Vocational Training Programs. These programs will be aligned with, and accredited by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka. At launch, we will be offering 3 vocational pathways: Healthcare, Information Technology, and Hospitality Management. These pathways will be course-complete up to Sri Lanka’s ↗National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4.

Student allocation to each of the programs will be based on a combination of stated student preferences, and their performance across a range of metrics. These evaluation metrics are designed to gauge personal and intellectual characteristics required to perform well in each of the vocational training programs. Continuous assessment and evaluation will be enabled by the Avinya Academy’s connected learning platform developed by the Technology Team.
