Dear readers,
Welcome back! We’ve missed you during our short break (and we hope it’s been the same for you! :D), but we’re thrilled to be back with our Avinya Scoop, with some new changes to the blog as well as our courses. Right now we’ve revamped our blog to be a little shorter in length and more visually focused. We’re still experimenting with the changes to our blog and we hope you can bear with us till we find our stride!
On that note, let’s get into the events of the week featuring our principal/campus lead Ilma!
As we stride into another productive week, it’s with great pleasure that I share some exciting updates at Avinya.
Firstly, we extend a warm welcome back to our determined graduates who have returned to embark on a new journey of learning. Engaged in a specialized TVEC programs focusing on Customer Service and IT Technician skills, they’re donning the classic black and white attire, exuding professionalism and determination right from the start. I must mention how heartwarming it is to observe our students try to converse even more in English than they did before!
Our current short-term course is also off to an energetic start, with fresh faces eager to grasp essential English, IT, and job skills. The atmosphere has been buzzing with enthusiasm as students dove into engaging workshops, fostering connections and fellowship amongst peers.
Equipped with their own lockers and working on laptops, many are experiencing this learning environment for the very first time. They’ve wasted no time in setting both program oriented and personal goals for a clear roadmap towards success.
A personal high for me this week was experiencing the pure joy of stepping into a classroom as an educator after being immersed in administrative duties for the past 8 months or so. Building a rapport with the students and engaging in a meaningful lesson is an unparalleled feeling of euphoria! I can’t express in words how happy I am to step into this role again even if only for a couple of hours every day.
That’s all from me, stay tuned for more weekly updates. Bye for now!
– Ilma
In other news, our Empower 2023b batch is in the process of successfully completing their TVEC NVQ Level 1: Basic Competencies to Work this week. Massive thank you to Sanduni who was at the forefront of all of this and the enormous effort she exerted to make sure all documentation and processes were in place for the students to sit for this exam. You’re a star and we couldn’t possibly voice how much your dedication means to all of us and the students!
As we navigate these changes, we appreciate your patience and support. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting content coming your way. As always, thank you for being part of the Avinya journey!
