Work Study Program

Avinya aims to provide economically challenged young Sri Lankans, who are unable to continue in the traditional education system and lack essential skills, an alternate path towards a professional career. The Empower scholarship is designed to create a supportive environment for young adults to pursue self-improvement and build a foundation for any blue or white-collar professional career.

While studying to sit for the TVEC Customer Service NVQ Level 3 course, students will also receive training in English, Computer skills, Job Skills, Everyday Maths and other essential 21st-century skills through Avinya’s Empower program. Following the six month scholarship program the students will be given upto three interviews with one of our partner organisations to enter the working world with either a work internship or a full time job offer depending on how they face the interviews.

Full time in Academy from Monday to Saturday

Student Stipend

Rs. 10,000 / month

Attendance

Mandatory. Required attendance rate of minimum 95%

Next step upon completion

The student will get the chance to face 2-3 interviews with one of our partner organisations.

1. Face the interview and qualify for a work internship or a full time job offer at one of our Partner organisations

2. Continue on to a Vocational path focused on a specific career of choice

3. Be empowered to go out into the job market with confidence and find a job on their own
